  • What is Covid-19?
    It is an infection caused by coronavirus which is part of the SARS group of viruses.
  • What are the symptoms of Covid-19?
    The most common symptoms of the virus are :
    • Temperature over 37.5
    • Difficulty in breathing
    • Dry cough
    • Sour throat
    • Loss of taste and smell
    • Aches and pains
  • How long does it take to experience symptoms of Covid-19?
    Normally you start to display symptoms from 1-7 days but it can be anything up to 14 days.
  • What is the protocol if you have symptoms?
    Even if you have mild symptoms you should follow government advise and self isolate. If you need medical advise you should call 111.
  • How can we prevent spread of Covid-19?
    The virus can spread person to person so its important to maintain a 2 meter distance from others. PPE, regular hand washing and good hygiene are also important to stop the spread.
  • Can I still have the virus if I have no symptom?
    Yes it is possible to have the virus even if you display no symptoms or only mild symptoms. Therefore its important to maintain a 2m distance and follow all precautions.
  • What should I do if I have been in close contact with Covid-19?
    If you live or work with someone who has Covid-19, you should follow government advise and stay at home and self isolate. If you start to display symptoms and need medical advise you should call 111.
  • What tests are available for Covid-19?
    • PCR tests – these check if you have the virus currently
    • Antibody Test – these check if you have ever had the virus and may now have antibody immunity
  • Can I cancel my appointment for an at home or clinic test ?
    You can cancel your test however due to the cost associated with the nurse attending for this test, we will not be able to offer a full refund. An admin cost of £60 will be charged for a cancelled at home test. If you wish to reschedule your at home test you should do this with at least 72 hours notice. After this you will incur additional re-arrangement fees.
  • What do I need to do if I have a clinic appointment?
    You should bring a form of photo ID and proof of address. In order to prevent the spread of infection you should attend the appointment alone.
  • Can I cancel a PCR test?
    You can cancel this test however we will not be able to issue a full refund if the test has already been posted out to you.
  • How long does a refund take?
    We aim to process refunds in 21 days.
  • Why do I need a Test to Release certificate?
    Under the current UK Government guidelines, if you are entering the UK after travelling (or transiting) from a country that is not on the UK travel corridor list, you would have to self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival to the UK. By having a Test to Release certificate you will not be required to self-isolate for 10 days.
  • What is a Test to Release Certificate?
    A Test to Release certificate is a confirmation of a negative PCR test after returning to the UK from a country that is not on the UK travel corridor list.
  • When can I get a Test to Release Certificate?
    International travellers must wait 5 full days (120 hours) after leaving a country which is not on the Uk governments travel corridor list before they take a PCR test with a private provider. Upon a negative result of the PCR test, a Test to Release certificate can be issued.
  • How can I get a Test to Release Certificate?
    A Test to Release certificate can only be issued by a private provider who is authorised by The Department of Health and Social Care, to conduct PCR tests.
  • Why do I need a Fit to Fly Certificate?
    Each country has guidance for travellers entering their country with respect to having verified that they are not Covid-19 Positive. In order to enter these countries, you are required to provide a valid Fit to Fly certificate at immigration.
  • What is a Fit to Fly Certificate?
    A Fit to Fly certificate is a confirmation of a negative PCR test before entering a country which requires evidence that you are not Covid-19 Positive.
  • When should I get a Fit to Fly Certificate?
    Each country has guidance for travellers entering their country with respect to having verified that they are not Covid-19 Positive. For up to date guidance, please check the Foreign Travel Advice
  • How can I get a Fit to Fly Certificate?
    A Fit to Fly certificate can only be issued by a private provider who is authorised by The Department of Health and Social Care, to conduct PCR tests.
  • When should I order a PCR test to obtain a Fit to Fly certificate before travelling to another country?
    Each country has guidance for travellers entering their country with respect to having verified that they are not Covid-19 Positive. For up to date guidance, please check the Foreign Travel Advice If ordering a PCR test by post, please allow 24 hour for delivery of the kit to your shipping address. Additionally please allow a further 24 hours for the kit to be posted back to the laboratory along with the timelines of the actual PCR test you have ordered (eg 48 hours or 24 hours PCR test).
  • If I order a 48 hour PCR test on Monday will I get the results by Wednesday?
    Yes it is possible depending on the time you have ordered the test
  • I have left my PCR test late. What is the quickest way to get a result?
    The quickest way to get a PCR test result is if our medical courier brings the test kit to you, waits for you to take the sample and then takes the kit back to the laboratory for processing. A result can be issued within 24 hours of the test kit reaching the laboratory. If you require this service please contact us and one of our team will be able to arrange this for you and confirm associated costs of the courier depending on your location.
  • How many days before I need to take the PCR test should I order my PCR test kit?
    There is no expiration date on PCR test kits therefore you can order in advance and keep the kit to conduct the test.
  • What information is entered on a Fit to Fly certificate?
    Your full name as it appears on your passport, Date of Birth, Time of test and Date of test are entered onto a Fit to Fly certificate.
    It is therefore important that you check the details you have entered on your order before submitting the details as these details are used to produce a Fit to Fly certificate and cannot be amended at a later date.
    Incorrect details appearing on a Fit to Fly certificate could prevent entry to your destination country.
  • Is it necessary for me to provide all the information requested on the booking form in order to get a Fit to Fly or Test to Release certificate?
    The information requested is stipulated by the Department of Health and Social Care and therefore must be provided in order for us to comply with the government guidelines and issue the necessary certificate.
